Broke first time used when pressing down detent.

Real Avid AR15 Sight Tool broke upon the first attempted use on a brand new rifle. One of the pins sheared off when it depressed the detent for the first time.
Worked for me.

Have used it to zero a set of Troy BattleSights on my AR and the irons on my IWI Tavor with no issues.
Good but not for HK style front sights
by Josh
I have this tool as part of the Real Avid AR15 multitool and used it a couple of times this weekend. It worked well with one exception: for HK style front sights, it is too thick in the center, where the rigid sections are, so when you turn it, it scratches the coating/metal off the edges of the sites. I have a couple of sets of Aero BUIS (great, btw) and used it on one front one to adjust before realizing what was happening and scratched both sides of the irons. So as long as you're just using it on M4 style front sights, you're golden. Otherwise, get one with a smaller diameter and top piece that allows grip and leverage like the KNS one.
