Details

The Rise Armament AR-15 Lower Parts Kit is a Mil-Spec, 20-piece kit containing the small components needed to assemble a lower receiver, leaving the fire control group, pistol grip, and trigger guard for the builder to choose.

Kit Includes:

  • Pivot pin, takedown pin
  • Pivot/takedown springs (2) and detents (2)
  • Magazine catch, spring, and release button
  • Bolt catch, spring, plunger, and roll pin
  • Standard safety selector
  • Safety detent pin and spring
  • Buffer retention pin and spring
  • Standard trigger/hammer pins (2)

Quality parts overall. Bolt catch paddle is out of whack.

First time to use Rise's parts kit. I was pleased overall with fit and function.
Overall except for the bolt catch. The paddle ridges are machined too short and there are more ridges as compared to a mil spec part. Also the paddle is 15 thousandths too narrow in my opinion. If you plan to use bolt levers like the Magpul B.A.D lever, it can't squeeze the paddle tight enough. Which means the B.A.D. pivots on the paddle.
If not using a lever like the B.A.D. lever then it will work fine. But with the shorter ridges and more of the ridges, the feel is smoother compared to mil-spec. Which might be a plus to some, but not for me.

Its a high quality kit. All of the pieces come organized and packaged well. The fitment is precise and snug on all of the pieces. I'd buy it again.

Be careful.

Well, the finish on the equipment is nothing to write home about which isn’t that big of a deal. However, what I am thoroughly upset about is that when I ordered my lower parts kit by Rise Armament while I was away on training in the military, they did not include the bolt catch roll pin. So I had to go to a local store and pick up a whole new set just for the one roll pin. Ridiculous.
