Details

The Rise Armament High Performance Trigger is the first of its kind as a truly premium trigger at mid-range prices. Fixed at a crisp 3.5-pound pull with fast trigger reset and minimal over-travel, this competition ready trigger allows you to shoot more accurately and much faster with much less effort. Trigger reset is how much movement it takes for the trigger to move back into a ready to fire position, so it is extremely important for competition because it allows you to pull the trigger faster than a standard Mil-Spec trigger. Over-travel is how much the trigger continues to move rearward after the trigger breaks and a round is fired; like the reset, minimal movement is optimal for fast follow up shots when every millisecond counts. The straight trigger, disconnector, and lightened hammer have all been precision CNC machined from high-grade heat-treated tool steel with ultra-slick nickel boron coating for smooth contact surfaces and exceptional durability. A lightweight aluminum housing allows for fast and easy drop-in installation while weighing in at just 2.4 oz. The High Performance Trigger is the perfect upgrade for most AR-15 and AR-308 pattern rifles.

NOTE: This trigger has two fitting screws that must be tightened regardless of trigger pin selection. Do not over-tighten or it will change the trigger pull weight.

Sweet trigger

Easy installation. Almost no creep. Nice break and awesome reset

RA-140 does NOT meet expectations

I rarely do negative reviews, but I must make an exception with the Rise Armament RA-140 (RA-140-AWP-BLK).

I have done dozens of trigger jobs on ARs over the years, which includes polishing GI triggers, custom triggers and box triggers. What I received with the RA-140, was a trigger that was worse than the polished GI trigger that it was supposed to replace.

Although the pull weight was acceptably light, the spongy pre-travel and the sluggish reset makes this trigger upgrade a downgrade.

I should have gone with any number of brands that perform far better at a similar price point... Live and learn.

Great on Aero M5; a little touchy for me

I don't have a scale, therefore can't rate accuracy weight. Installing on my M5 lower was super easy. I got to the range yesterday with it, and holy smokes is it light. Like tapping a mouse button when you're speed-clicking to exit a dirty website. I anticipated the first shot, allowed reset and was still in breathing process when I accidentally sent the next round down. I thought, "Wow, that was unexpected." Following shots were consistent. My take; this is SUPER light for anything you're moving with. It would take getting used to. I would only use this in a marksmanship rifle, or longer-range stuff (hunting, competition, etc). For going to the range and popping off for fun I'd go with something heavier. I intend to keep; it is nice and I can adjust. But for my AR15, I'll look for a 4.5 or greater. Again, don't get me wrong, this is NICE. Just lighter than I was looking for in my application. 5 stars for being as-advertised, easy install, high quality, and great for a light trigger!
