Three qualities make this a meaningful upgrade over the factory GLOCK extractor. 17-4 stainless steel offers significantly greater hardness and corrosion resistance than the polymer-coated MIM steel used in factory GLOCK extractors, providing a longer service life under high-volume shooting and exposure to moisture. The loaded chamber indicator protrudes visibly and tactilely when a round is chambered, giving the shooter an additional confirmation method — by sight or feel in low light — without requiring any additional components or modifications.
