The 5.7x28mm round is known for being extremely fun and effective to shoot but with the only guns chambered in it being extremely expensive, many people were unwilling to shell out the cash just to shoot this round. Ruger saw this gap in the market and have released the Ruger-57 pistol at an affordable price with a ton of features and all the rugged reliability you have come to expect from Ruger firearms. This Ruger 57 holds 20+1 of this high velocity low recoil round and comes with two steel magazines. The grip frame is made from glass reinforced polymer and is much slimmer than the competition and built for ergonomics. It features a 1911 style ambidextrous safety selector and includes a secure action trigger to prevent the handgun from firing if dropped. The Ruger 57 pistol takes the high performance 5.7x28mm and puts it into an affordable pistol sized package.

The Ruger 57 5.7x28mm pistol also features a robust slide release and a reversible magazine release button for left hand use. The ergonomic frame is textured for a secure grip and features a picatinny rail for attaching lights and lasers. The slide is machined from billet steel, black oxide finished, and has lightening cuts to help reduce weight and provide better grip for racking the slide. It comes with target style sights that are windage and elevation adjustable with a fiber optic front sight. The slide is drilled and tapped for adapter plates for mounting red dot sights.
