It comes with a Ruger Rapid Deploy folding rear sight in addition to the A2 style fixed front sight that offers plenty of windage and elevation adjustment to dial in your rifle. The rear sight can be folded down to make room for an optic on the 1913 picatinny rail flat top receiver and gives you the option to co-witness with red dot sights. The receiver is forged from aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum and is Type III hard coat anodized for maximum corrosion resistance and durability. The rear of the receiver features a carbine length Mil-Spec buffer tube and a six-position M4 style telescoping stock so you can easily adjust the length of pull for different shooters. The carbine length stock works perfectly with the carbine length gas system that finds the perfect balance between reliability and recoil reduction. The milled gas block includes sling mounting options, a bayonet lug, and is attached to a 16.10” medium contour cold hammer-forged barrel with 1:8” twist. This twist rate, like the rest of the rifle, is the best-balanced option meaning that it can effectively stabilize bullets from 35 to 77 grains. The 5.56 NATO chamber is capable of firing both 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington ammunition and features M4 feed ramps to reliably feed all types of bullet shapes. The end of the barrel sports a Ruger flash suppressor that is attached by 1/2x28” threads for compatibility with most muzzle devices. Protecting the barrel, gas tube, and your hand is a heat-resistant glass-filled nylon M4 style handguard that is attached by a barrel nut and delta ring.The heart of the rifle is the matte black oxide finished bolt carrier group with chrome plated inner diameter gas key that can withstand hot gases and prolong the life of the rifle. The gas key is properly staked to prevent it from being knocked loose; a common problem with low end rifles. The bolt is machined from 9310 alloy steel and is shot peened and pressure teste to ensure strength and reliability.
