When you want a mil-spec AR-15 from Ruger's American manufacturing with a 30-round Magpul PMAG included and a completely re-engineered receiver set, the Ruger Harrier 5.56 NATO delivers a modern sporting rifle built on forged 7075-T6 aluminum.

The Ruger Harrier is an AR-15 rifle designed for shooters who want a mil-spec compatible, optics-ready 5.56 NATO platform with a free-float M-LOK handguard, nitrided barrel and BCG, and full mil-spec aftermarket compatibility right out of the box.

The 16.1" government-profile barrel is finished in black nitride for corrosion resistance and longevity, with a 5.56 NATO chamber, 6-groove 1:8" twist rifling, and 1/2"-28 muzzle threads capped with a removable A2 flash hider. Upper and lower receivers are machined from 7075-T6 forgings to mil-spec dimensions and Type III hard-coat anodized, with an integrated tension screw in the lower receiver that lets users eliminate play between upper and lower for a tighter, more consistent fit. The free-float handguard runs a slim profile with Picatinny rails at 12:00 front and rear, QD sling sockets on both sides, and M-LOK attachment slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions plus eight intermediate slots at the muzzle end. The bolt carrier group runs black nitride on the bolt, carrier, and gas key, with a chrome-plated firing pin and staked gas key. The flat-top upper receiver includes a forward assist, dust cover, and brass deflector.

Chambered in 5.56 NATO, compatible with .223 Remington. Carbine-length gas system on Mil-Spec buffer tube. M4-style collapsible stock. A2-pattern pistol grip. Compatible with mil-spec components throughout. Ships with one 30-round Magpul PMAG magazine. Overall length: 35.25". Weight: 6.6 lbs. Length of pull: 10.13"–13.38".

Single-stage GI trigger, selector, mil-spec charging handle, carbine buffer and spring all included and mil-spec compatible. Nitrided BCG with staked gas key. Manufactured at Ruger's Hebron, Kentucky facility.
