This rugged Ruger carbine ships with a 10 round magazine and is designed with a non-threaded barrel for use in states which limit magazine capacity and have feature-based restrictions. The Ruger PC Carbine comes with interchangeable magazine wells for use with all the common Ruger® and Glock® magazines and also ships with the SR-Series™ Security-9® pistol well installed and an additional magazine well which accepts Glock® magazines is included.

Older Glock® magazines that feature only one magazine latch slot may still be used with the PC Carbine™ but the magazine release button must remain on the left side of the rifle as shipped from the factory. The magazine release button should not be reversed when using this type of magazine as the magazine will not properly lock into the magazine well. Early versions of Glock®-Brand magazines with a “U” shaped notch at the rear of the magazine feed lips will not function in the PC Carbine™.This Ruger carbine allows for easy takedown and barrel/forend assembly can be quickly separated from the action for storage and transportation. Takedown is as easy as ensuring the firearm is completely free of a chambered round, pushing a recessed lever, twisting the subassemblies and pulling them apart. One, two, three, and done.The PC Carbine™ also features a custom tungsten dead blow weight that actually shortens the bolt travel and reduces recoil sensation and the always-hated muzzle rise. Overall, the bolt itself is machined from heat treated chrome-moly steel to ensure durability, strength and integrity. Built to rigid standards, this Ruger rifle’s barrel is cold hammer-forged and ultra-precise rifling and the heavy contour barrel provides consistent accuracy along with rugged dependability.As with all Ruger products this firearm is produced for use of a broad range of different shooters. The durable, glass filled nylon synthetic buttstock features a proprietary texture for enhanced control and soft rubber butt pads with spacers (three ½” spacers included) that allow the butt to buttstock to be properly sized for different shooters or varying levels of outerwear or defensive gear.The PC Carbine™ comes to you with an accurate sighting system with a ghost ring rear aperture and a non-glare, protected blade front sight. And if you’re into scopes, the CNC-machined, aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum receiver includes an integrated Picatinny-style rail, Type III hardcoat anodized for additional strength and durability.The receiver-mounted, Picatinny-style rail is designed to accommodate most optics and mounts intended for use with Picatinny MIL-STD 1913 rails. However, due to reduced clearance between the top of the receiver and the bottom of the optics rail, optics and mounts that extend more than .275 below the top of the rail may not fit. Ensure that the optic or mount you intend to use does not extend more than .275” below the top of the Picatinny-style rail when installed.
