The PC Carbine's takedown design lets the barrel and forend separate from the action in seconds, just by locking the bolt back, pushing a recessed lever, and twisting the two halves apart, making the rifle much easier to transport or store than a standard fixed carbine. Interchangeable magazine wells mean the rifle can run Ruger SR-Series and Security-9 magazines out of the box, with an additional Glock-compatible well included in the box and Ruger American Pistol wells available separately.

A cold hammer-forged, chrome-moly barrel with a heavy, fluted contour delivers consistent accuracy while shedding some weight, and it's threaded 1/2"-28 for standard muzzle accessories. Inside, a custom tungsten dead blow weight shortens bolt travel and reduces both felt recoil and muzzle rise, and the bolt itself is machined from heat-treated chrome-moly steel for durability. A reversible magazine release and charging handle support both left- and right-handed shooters, and an adjustable ghost ring rear sight pairs with a protected blade front sight for a rugged, glare-free sighting system.

Ruger has built a reputation on rugged, reliable firearms since 1949, and the PC Carbine reflects that same durability in a modern, pistol-caliber takedown platform. The rifle's use of proven 10/22 trigger components ties it directly to one of Ruger's longest-running and most trusted rifle designs.
