The Axis family is Savage's value-priced hunting line. The Axis 2 adds Savage's AccuTrigger, which you can adjust for pull weight, to a stock with adaptable length of pull and enhanced texturing. The Axis 2 Pro adds Gun Metal Bronze Cerakote to the barrel and action, a one-piece rail, and a camo stock, and Savage lists it at about 6.9 lb.

The 6mm ARC is a modern cartridge known for a flat trajectory and low recoil. Because it is left-handed, the bolt and ejection port are on the left side, which suits left-handed shooters. The threaded barrel accepts a muzzle device or suppressor, so check your thread pitch before you order.

Savage Arms has built bolt action rifles since 1894 and is headquartered in Westfield, Massachusetts. The company is known for accurate, affordable rifles with features such as the AccuTrigger.
