The Scalarworks PEAK/01 Fixed Front Sight solves the sight-radius crowding many hunters and competitors run into on modern AR-15s. Most traditional iron sights are designed for the M16A2's 20-inch sight radius, but the shorter roughly 15-inch radius common on today's rifles leaves a crowded sight picture -- Scalarworks redesigned every part of the A2-style sight to fix that.

Machined from 7075-T6 aerospace-grade aluminum and blended with 4140H steel hardware, this sight delivers the rigidity and rugged durability needed for field use. The narrower .053" sight post sheds a few ounces compared to a traditional .07" A2 post, and the refined .05 MOA per click elevation adjustment matches the fine adjustment increments found on most modern red dot optics. Paired with a Scalarworks rear iron sight, this front post helps eliminate the misleading target highlights the human eye naturally centers on with a bright aperture.

Solid fixed BUIS option

I had been looking for a set of fixed back up iron sights to use for my home defense AR that uses an Arisaka MK2 2.26” mount w/ an Sig Sauer Romeo 4XT-Pro. This height allows the use of fixed iron sights with the mount. The Scalarworks front sight fit nice and tight in my handguard. The rear fit just as great as the front. Torqued to spec with witness marks. With the fine adjustments I was able to zero them quickly. They have held zero with slight to moderate abuse. Time will tell for the long term results but I’m quite confident these will hold up just fine. Would highly recommend the Scalarworks front and rear sight.

Great finish and quality IMO best fixed front sight if you are looking to mimic the A2 FSB on your rifle. Light weight for its size and locks up solid without a large mounting knob.
Almost Perfect

If you don't ever think you would want to replace the sight post, then this is 5/5, and best in class. That said, I do appreciate the fact that on the Daniel Defense fixed front iron sight you can swap out the post. Hence, 4/5.
Scalarworks sight

Good machining. I like that there isn’t a helicoil that could possibly get pulled out (other brands) when torqued to spec. The threads are directly cut into the base. Good sight. Don’t hesitate to buy quality first time.
Solid fixed sight from Scalarworks

Scalarworks just makes good stuff. It's a very solid and high quality fixed iron sight that retains the look of a traditional front sight gas block. The elevation wheel is very easy to move by hand with no tools, but also solid enough that there's no chance of it moving on its own. I'll probably end up buying more for my next build!
