Details

The Scalarworks PEAK/01 Fixed Iron Sight solves the common sight radius issue many hunters or competitors experience. These days, many modern traditional iron sights are designed for the M16A2 platform twenty-inch sight radius. However, most modern AR15 enthusiasts use rifles with around a fifteen-inch sight radius leaving the overall sight picture crowded, making target acquisition a real challenge. Scalarworks has redesigned every part of their A2 style iron sights with the PEAK/01, making it far more than a backup iron sight.

THE PEAK/01 sight post measures .053 inches in width instead of the more common .07 inch width of the traditional A2 style front post. Although the more narrow front sight shaves off a few ounces, a PEAK sight from Scalarworks is full of quality options that make it a best-in-class iron sight. This PEAK/01 features manually adjustable elevation with a refined .05MOA per click adjustment that matches most of the red dot optics on the market today. As an experienced hunter or competitor will tell you, the human eye automatically centers objects viewed with a bright aperture. Solid fixed sight from Scalarworks

Scalarworks just makes good stuff. It's a very solid and high quality fixed iron sight that retains the look of a traditional front sight gas block. The elevation wheel is very easy to move by hand with no tools, but also solid enough that there's no chance of it moving on its own. I'll probably end up buying more for my next build!

Good machining. I like that there isn’t a helicoil that could possibly get pulled out (other brands) when torqued to spec. The threads are directly cut into the base. Good sight. Don’t hesitate to buy quality first time.

Almost Perfect

If you don't ever think you would want to replace the sight post, then this is 5/5, and best in class. That said, I do appreciate the fact that on the Daniel Defense fixed front iron sight you can swap out the post. Hence, 4/5.
