The SIG Sauer SIERRA3BDX 4.5-14x50mm Second Focal Plane Riflescope with BDX-R1 Digital Ballistic Reticle is a scope that, in the right hands can seriously elevate your long-range shooting capabilities. This is true of both the scope by itself. The real magic, however, is when you combine this scope with one of Sig’s rangefinders from the same series.

This is an electronic sight. Luckily, Sig knows how annoying it is to change batteries in the field and these come with their Motion Activated Illumination (MOTAC) technology to save you that headache and maintain optimum battery life. Basically, this scope is good to go in nearly any condition and features a simple cross hair reticle. 

Well, it has a simple crosshair until you link it via Bluetooth with one of Sig’s rangefinders. Once you do that, the supposedly simple reticle is transformed into something seriously cool. Taking into account range, temperature, the rounds you’re firing and other data, the system will tell you exactly, in your reticle, where it thinks you should hold for your next round.
