Note: this is a used firearm and will show signs of wear. All sales are final; this item is sold as-is.

The Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 38 is a compact J-frame revolver chambered in .38 Special that is rated for +P ammunition. Built for concealed carry and personal protection, this five-shot revolver delivers a 1.9-inch barrel, a concealed hammer, and a lightweight aluminum alloy frame.

Features:

• Chambered in .38 Special, +P rated
• Five-round cylinder
• 1.9-inch stainless steel barrel
• Aluminum alloy frame, about 14 ounces
• Double action only with concealed hammer
• Stainless steel cylinder with PVD coating
• Polymer boot-style grip

The Bodyguard 38 is built for carrying every day. The aluminum alloy frame keeps the weight to roughly 14 ounces, and the short 1.9-inch barrel, compact grip, and concealed hammer make the revolver slim and snag-free in a pocket or inside-the-waistband holster. The overall length is only about 6.6 inches.

Double action only operation means every shot is fired by pulling the trigger straight through, with no hammer to cock and no external safety to manage, which keeps the revolver simple under stress. The stainless steel cylinder has a PVD coating for durability, and the .38 Special cartridge offers manageable recoil for a small frame while accepting +P loads for added performance. A ramp front sight and a notch in the frame provide a basic sight picture for close-range shooting. Revolvers are valued for their simplicity, since there is no magazine to manage and the action tolerates a wide range of loads.

Smith & Wesson has been building handguns since 1852 and is one of the best-known names in American firearms.
