The Smith & Wesson M&P 9 Shield Plus is a lightweight and concealable striker-fired pistol that takes the popular features of the older model and ups the capacity to 10+1 in relatively the same size. The Shield Plus is only slightly thicker to accommodate the double stack magazines which are made by Mec-Gar in Italy. This new micro compact pistol design allows for easy and comfortable concealability while increasing firepower making this the perfect carry option for your next gun. Other notable improvements of the M&P Shield Plus include a Cerakoted frame to match the Armornite coated slide while they have retained the same popular grip tape style texturing for a positive grip in any condition. The trigger has also been improved to a hybrid flat/curved design that allows for easier engagement of the passive trigger safety and a lighter feeling pull with a crisp break and audible reset. The combination of the trigger safety and internal firing pin block safety make this a gun you can confidently carry all day. Additionally, it still retains all the same internal mechanisms as the older models such as their takedown mechanism that allows you to disassembly the pistol without pulling the trigger.
