Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport III .223 Rem AR-15 Rifle - 16" - 1x 30rd Mag

The Smith & Wesson M&P Sport III solves the accessorizing limits of older Sport generations with a free float handguard, giving shooters more mounting options than previous M&P Sport rifles. Built for recreation, sport shooting, and professional applications, this AR-15 rifle delivers a lightweight, rugged platform at an unmatched value.

Features:

• 1:8 twist, 5R rifled barrel, Armornite finish
• Mid-length gas system
• Free float handguard
• Forged integral trigger guard
• Chromed firing pin, forward assist, ejection port dust cover
• Includes one magazine

The free float handguard mounts a wide range of aftermarket accessories without transferring pressure to the barrel, and the mid-length gas system reduces felt recoil compared to a standard carbine-length setup for a smoother shooting experience. The 5R rifling profile keeps consistent contact with the bullet as it travels down the barrel for improved accuracy, and the 1:8 twist rate accommodates a wider range of bullet weights than earlier Sport generations.

Smith & Wesson has manufactured firearms in the USA since 1852, and the M&P Sport III line applies that manufacturing heritage to a lightweight, rugged AR-15 platform built for everyday reliability.
