Sons of Liberty Gun Works Broadsword L89A .223 Wylde Barreled Upper Receiver - 16" - No Muzzle

The Sons of Liberty Gun Works Broadsword L89A in .223 Wylde with a 16-inch barrel is a barreled upper that meets the 16-inch rifle minimum without a pinned and welded muzzle device, giving the builder full freedom to install and swap devices as needed. The L89A handguard adds integrated ARCA with RRS-Lock compatibility to the DriveLock platform.

This is a barreled upper receiver only. It does not include a bolt carrier group or charging handle — both must be sourced separately to complete the upper assembly.

The 16-inch 416 stainless steel barrel features an SPR profile, a 1-in-7 twist rate, a .223 Wylde chamber, and a mid-length gas system with a .750-inch gas block journal. The muzzle is threaded 5/8x24. The Broadsword-89 billet upper and L89A DriveLock rail use an extended barrel nut, tensioning crossbolts, a keyed receiver face, anti-rotation tabs, and a stainless steel center index dowel for a rigid interface.

The L89A handguard features a titanium barrel nut, 7-sided M-LOK, and integral steel QD cups. Handguard length is 15.25 inches. The Broadsword-89 upper is compatible with standard milspec contour lower receivers.

The integrated ARCA rail allows direct tripod mounting without additional accessories, making this handguard particularly well suited for precision-oriented builds.

The 16-inch barrel with mid-length gas offers a balanced combination of velocity, dwell time, and overall length for general-purpose and precision rifle applications.
