The Sons of Liberty Gun Works EXO3 Barreled AR-15 Upper Receiver in 5.56 NATO pairs a 14.5" Liberty Fighting Barrel with SOLGW's third-generation EXO3 seven-sided M-LOK handguard and a steel barrel nut, a duty-grade foundation for builders supplying their own BCG and charging handle.

The EXO3's seven-sided M-LOK layout gives you accessory mounting positions at nearly any angle around the handguard instead of just the cardinal positions of a quad rail, and the steel barrel nut resists the loosening that aluminum nuts can develop under sustained fire and accessory load. The 4140 steel V2 gas block provides a solid, galling-resistant gas seal, and anti-rotation tabs keep the handguard from twisting under load.

Because this 14.5" barrel ships bare-threaded with no muzzle device, it must be built into an NFA-regulated short-barreled rifle or AR pistol rather than a standard rifle.
