The Sons of Liberty Gun Works P3 Fighting Barrel is an 11.5-inch AR-15 barrel chambered in 5.56 NATO, built from 41v50 chrome moly steel with a chrome-lined bore and phosphate exterior for duty-grade performance in a carbine-length gas system.
Three qualities define this barrel's suitability for a fighting rifle build. 41v50 chrome moly steel provides the strength and toughness required for sustained high-volume shooting, handling the thermal and pressure demands of a short-barreled 5.56 configuration without accelerated wear. A chrome-lined bore extends service life and simplifies maintenance by resisting the carbon fouling and corrosion that accumulate quickly in a carbine-length gas system — the shorter dwell time and higher cyclic rate that make compact ARs demanding on barrel bores. Medium contour balances weight and rigidity for a compact patrol or duty rifle that handles well without the flex associated with pencil-profile barrels.
Compatible with mil-spec AR-15 lowers and carbine-length gas systems. 5/8x24 threaded muzzle for maximum muzzle device and suppressor compatibility. .750-inch gas block journal.
