The Springfield Echelon 4.5F is a full-size 9mm striker-fired duty pistol built on a stainless steel chassis with a medium polymer grip module, featuring factory-installed Aimpoint COA optic via A-CUT direct slide interface, and shipping with a 17-round flush magazine and a 20-round extended magazine.

Four features establish the Echelon 4.5F as a serious duty platform. The Aimpoint A-CUT direct slide interface mounts the COA closed-emitter red dot to the slide without intermediary adapter plates, eliminating tolerance stacking and delivering a lower, more secure optic-to-slide interface that maintains zero through sustained duty use. The Central Operating Group is a self-contained, serialized fire control chassis housing the patent-pending operating system — a modular design that enables frame swaps for grip size changes and simplifies serialized component tracking for law enforcement users. A 4.5-inch hammer-forged steel barrel with Melonite finish and a 1:10 twist provides the barrel length and rifling geometry needed for reliable velocity and accuracy across standard and +P 9mm duty loads. A captive recoil system manages the recoil impulse consistently across the flush 17-round and extended 20-round magazines, both of which ship with the pistol.
