Seems like a good optic

I haven't had this long enough to speak to the optic really. That is why it didn't get a 5. About a month and 150ish rounds. This is the first red dot I've had on a pistol so I have nothing to compare it to. Seems to be well made. The adjustment buttons are very positive which I appreciate.
I really just wanted to answer a couple of questions I had for it when I was looking at it. I have it mounted via a C&H Precision adapter plate for the Aimpoint ACRO. The Steiner mounts directly to this plate. It fits in my Safariland 6360RDS-1582. The retention hood closes and locks in place. The RDS hood does not close. I was going to include some photos but apparently I can't.
Great, but not for me.

The Steiner MPS has some of the clearest glass I have ever seen on a red dot optic, with no haze, discoloration, or distortion around the edges. Steiner did an incredible job on this one. The body seems very durable and is one of the best looking closed emitter MRDS on the market. I would have loved to mount this optic and take it to the range, but I ended up finding its only downfall for me. I have a slight astigmatism, which causes red dots to be slightly fuzzy sometimes, but man oh man this optic was horrible for me. It was like a giant sunburst. The other MRDS I have does not do that for me. So if you have an astigmatism, I would recommend skipping this one. If you have normal eyes, I would definitely give this optic a try as it seems like an awesome choice.

I hate the footprint but the optic is the tits.
Love it

I have a total of 5 of these. The lense is clear and wider compared to the arco P2 which I also have. No complaints on these. I have the 509t, 508t, rmr and the SRO. Steiner is on all my favorite carry and range pistols.
Most clear glass optic

Well, I am bifocal and stigmatism person. I owned this Steiner MPS optic for more than a year now. Since it had been mounted on my Sig P226 Legion a year ago, I put more than thousand rounds thru my gun and it still accurate. During training course, my Firearm instructors at Academy sprayed water on it and asked me to slam it against the wooden pole to see if it still hold zero. "Wow, yes it still accurate at 25 yards with less than 1" groups/3rounds". Well that is the positive site but the down site for this optic is "battery life". I work day shift and i set it at normal mode, disabled the off 13hr function and the battery will last about 3-4mos max. I hope one day Steiner will come up with a new version for battery life and it will be awesome. As a Patrolman, this optic had been exposed to bad weather, hitting hard object, in and out of duty holster and it still giving me accuracy.
Great enclosed emitter

I love this RDS. It is very clear and has a larger window than the Acro. Steiner has a fantastic warranty and great customer service. Don’t hesitate on this one.
