Sterling's steel-cased 7.62x39mm is a high-volume training load built around a non-corrosive Boxer primer — the practical upgrade over older Berdan-primed steel-case imports that keeps the bore and gas system from degrading between cleaning sessions and simplifies maintenance after extended range use. At 2,362 fps with 1,524 ft-lbs of muzzle energy, the 123-grain FMJ delivers standard 7.62x39mm ball ballistics with consistent cycling in AK-pattern rifles, SKS, and other 7.62x39mm platforms. The steel case keeps cost per round low for high-volume shooters who want non-corrosive performance at steel-case pricing.

The steel case is non-reloadable. The bi-metal jacket will attract a magnet — check range rules before purchasing if shooting at a facility that prohibits magnetic ammunition. Compatible with AK-47, AKM, SKS, and all other 7.62x39mm chambered firearms.
