Great

Fantastic fit and finish on my BCM upper.

Looks fantastic really dresses up your AR and gives custom look

Great cover, looks sharp, super easy to install in 2 seconds. Doesnt fit a Lantac UAR Upper or a Guntec upper and maybe some other billet uppers? But does fit POF and angstadt arms upper and many other billets I tried it on and every forged upper. I gave 4 stars as I still feel the polymer covers offer more weigh savings and a better dust seal so they are more functional not to mention lower in price, but this wins in the looks department. I feel Strike Industries could of done a better job making this door a little thinner like the V7 port door, both saving weight and fitting many more billet uppers as its the inner thickness of this door that causes it not to fit some billet uppers. But it works 100%, fits well and the little noise-anti scratch pads they give to you to stick on it haven't fallen off yet but they did send a extra set of pads so i suspect with oil and heat they eventually will.

Looks great, don't have to remove handguard

by

Unlike almost every other dust cover out there, you don't have to remove the handguard to install this. Another reviewer mentioned it doesn't fit Guntec uppers, but I just put it on my Cerakoted billet Guntec upper with no issues whatsoever.
I haven't finished the build yet so haven't tested it under fire, but I did read one review that said the setscrew to adjust the tension of the release would come loose, and that Strike Ind. customer support said to use Locktite to prevent that. If I do have that issue, I'm sure Loctite will do the trick... Might just apply it from the start.

Fits "Most"

Ordering is easy and shipped fast as usual with PA. This thing is well made and looks great- giving that matched black appearance that is always lacking with the mil spec covers. Installation is a breeze, taking all of 5 seconds. I had sizing issues on the build I purchased it for; using an Aero upper (M4E1). Instead I used it on another build, a .458, and it fit great (XL style receiver with a larger ejection port). I went into buying it knowing billet covers often have sizing issues, so no biggie.

Fits Most Uppers

by

This one fit my XL type uppers better than the normal 5.56/ .223 ejection ports. Ordered it for an Aero M4E1 (billet)- didn't fit. Worked great on my Tromix 458 build. Great service and fast shipping by PA.

It's OK, Nothing Write Home To Mom About

The product looks nice but the main reason for taking off the OEM MIL-SPEC dust cover was ease of removal and installation of the S.I Billet cover. Additionally I wanted to enhance protection of that upper portion of the lower where the dust covers makes contact when opening. I was disappointed that the self-adhesive pads do NOTHING in preventing contact as intended. The weapon it was installed on is nothing special, a SA Saint .300 blk pistol.
The cover provide four pads and while having two pads in the two spots intended, they don't touch and make contact when the cover is open, the raised edges of the aluminum cover do. I used the other two remaining pads and applied them at each end near the two raised portionsof the cover. That does work but that's not how it's intended to be or what I wanted or how it's advertised, hence only giving three stars in the review.

Not Overly Impressed

by -

I had high hopes for this product. I don't particularly care for polymer items and the Ultimate Dust Cover is lighter than the metal factory style mil-spec cover (yes I weighed them) Ease of installation is a huge plus as are looks. HOWEVER, the rubber pads when installed per directions do nothing. They don't make contact when the cover opens and function as intended. The cover is installed on a Saint pistol 300 blk, so it's nothing off the wall nor should it be an anomaly in anyway. This is the second review I've written. For some reason the first didn't get posted. (strange huh)
