The SureFire SFMB Muzzle Brake Suppressor Adapter is a 5/8x24 stainless steel muzzle device with DLC coating, designed to deliver SureFire's Impulse Diffusion recoil reduction while serving as the mounting adapter for SureFire SOCOM Series Fast-Attach sound suppressors.

Four features define the SFMB's dual-purpose advantage. The proprietary Impulse Diffusion design uses offset porting to greatly reduce recoil impulse and muzzle rise, keeping the weapon tracking straight back to the target for faster shot-to-shot recovery — the brake performance that makes the SFMB worth running even without a suppressor attached. Multiple bearing surfaces ensure superior suppressor alignment on the SureFire SOCOM Fast-Attach interface, maintaining concentricity that prevents baffle strikes and maximizes suppressor service life. Labyrinth seals prevent carbon buildup on the suppressor lock ring indexing system, maintaining consistent suppressor orientation and removal torque across sustained fire. Pilot holes allow tuning of the muzzle brake orientation and enable pin-and-weld installation on 14.5-inch barrels to achieve the 16-inch federal minimum.
