MIL-SPEC components are tough, and serviceable, but MIL-SPEC is not just outdated, it's the bare minimum quality standard. You can do better, and your rifle deserves it. Do yourself a favor and pick up the Timber Creek Ambidextrous safety selector. Not just an aesthetic improvement, the AMBI SS offers both traditional and short throw capabilities, as well as ambidextrous manipulation.

  • Drop in replacement for MIL-SPEC
  • Modular and ambidextrous
  • Configurable for 45-degree or 90-degree use
  • Compatible with AR-15 or AR-308
  • Lightweight aluminum levers
  • Flat Dark Earth Cerakote finish

Ambidextrous safety selectors make manipulating your rifle fast and easy in nearly any position. Being able to change your rifle's condition from 'safe' to 'fire' with your thumb and from 'fire' to 'safe' with your index finger is faster and more convenient. Being able to make that change with just 45-degrees of motion is one of the best upgrades available for your carbine. Of course, the AMBI SS can also be configured for traditional 90-degrees of throw as well.

Timber Creek Outdoors has over 50 years of experience in the outdoor industry and since 2015 has been translating that experience to firearms accessories! Their ever-expanding line of parts and accessories is proof of their commitment to quality and innovation. As further proof, every Timber Creek Outdoors product is backed by a lifetime warranty.

Doesn't work... for me.

by -

Self installed on a Spikes Tactical Punisher Lower. I can feel the clicks when switching from safe to fire but doesn't stop trigger from being pulled on safe. It could be due to the trigger itself which is a Primary Arms Exclusive Rise Armament Super Sport Trigger. Perhaps the trigger pull is too short that the safety doesn't catch it? Will probably install a regular milspec safety to test if it is just the trigger.

Works great not for all triggers

Would not set to safe on a two stage hook under style trigger had a FM products 2 stage on hand and works great

Worked perfect for me

This worked perfectly on both an Aero Precision lower and a Ruger SSR556. It worked as it should with either a CMC drop in, gritty Mil-spec POS, and an upgraded Ruger trigger group. Installed easy-peasy as usual with no slop and positive clicks at both detents. I especially like that the design allows easy activation with out sharp edges and the R shorter lever doesn’t rub on my trigger finger as some ambi levered do. Also, the FDE matches the Aero Precision lower perfectly if you’re picky about those things. Me, I just want it to work every. single. time. And it does. This is going on all my builds.
<br>PS: Use a minute amount of removable LocTite on the two tiny screws for peace of mind.
