Not pretty, but useable

If you look at the picture closely (zoom in) it's a pretty accurate representation of what you will get. The finish isn't great and not nearly as nice as the UTG FDE buffer tube I bought previously. The cerakote appears to have been applied incorrectly. That said, it's not a deal breaker for me. This one is 7075-T6 aluminum, which is a slight plus (UTG is 6061-T6). A buffer tube is going to take some wear anyway and this will still probably hold up better than anodized tubes. Probably wouldn't buy again, but not worth sending back.

It’ll work.

Standard, mil-spec buffer tube which works. Nice finish. If you’re worried about scratches, or uneven paint on your rifle or parts, you probably don’t use it correctly. Will buy again.

Look at something else

Arrived in like-used condition, cerakote worn off of the rear, base aluminum inside with no coating. I would return but it's not worth the hassle. Look elsewhere.

Super Super Nice

The buffer tube I received was flawless and gorgeous. Based on the one negative review on this sight I had low expectations. I can say the finish was perfect and I couldn’t believe they don’t charge triple what I paid. I had no idea what a huge impact this would have on the look of my rifle, I bought it as a frivolous upgrade because I’m crazy about FDE parts. Put this in your cart and buy it right now, you will be happy you did.

The FDE cerakote is nice and uniform. The inside is raw aluminum and full of machine marks. My buffer and spring drag horribly across it.
