One of the best optic combos ever
by Joe -
Best decision I've made for optics. Absolutely perfect for 16"-18" combat rifles. The BDC says it's for 20" but was well within minute of man at 500 yards on a 16" with M855 and 1:7 twist, at 600-700 you're approaching the effectiveness of the round anyway. Glass is unreal as is the case with most Trijicons. Mount was solid and held zero after several unmount/remounts, at most a 1/4" poi shift, and if 1/4" moa is the make-or-break you're a better shooter than me. Red dot is RMR type 1 so no "off" switch but Trijicon says 5+ years in dark storage. Built-in Irons are definitely for 25 yards and in but can definitely put hits on target at 50 yards. Wish I had bought this combo earlier. If it becomes available again just do it, you won't be disappointed.

Thing is a tank, still just dead on all the time. Drops, dismounts, bumps, you name it. It eventually landed on a 16" barrel with a 1:7 and I've gone to running 77gr OTM. I'm getting 2485fps, I zero'd the optic for 50 yards due to the heavier round, and honestly, my dudes, thing is amazing for 400 yards and in. The BDC holds for that ammo/barrel/zero are point of aim at 50, 7/8" high at 100, 211yards for the 200 hold mark, 294 yards for the 300 yard hold mark, and 384 yards at the 400 yard hold. With 4x you're hitting steel at 400 or less without even trying. The point is that with good ammo instead of M855 or M193 this optic will make your gun more effective than you think it is. I switched the RM01 Type 2 that comes with it for the RM06 Type 2 adjustable version so I could turn the dot up, down, and off but that was just personal preference. I stand by my original review, just suck it up and buy it.
