Trijicon Re-engineers the AC32093 Adapter to Properly Fit the M&P 9 Shield EZ

The first example of this mount I purchased would not tighten enough to securely fit the M&P 9 Shield EZ’s rear dovetail groove. The EZ does not have a pressed-in rear sight, but rather a loose wedge that secures in the groove with a simple set screw accessible from inside the removed slide.
After returning the adapter to Trijicon, several weeks later they sent me a properly-sized replacement that fit very tightly into the rear sight dovetail groove, and further secures by way of those same two top-mounted set screws. (The EZ’s bottom set screw is not required nor accommodated by the AC32093.)
I had to use a brass drift to start the new plate into the groove, followed by Wheeler’s excellent sight pusher to drive the plate fully home to center, but the AC32093 plate now fits very securely on my M&P 9 Shield EZ. And I’m happy with Trijicon’s prompt and effective corrective action.
