PRIMARY ARMS IS #1 (but)TROY INDUSTRIES- the Good, the Bad and the UGLYGOOD: I own 3 sets of original folding sitesBAD: Offset countersink in mount tweeks it when tightening/ Base to picatinny is too tight to fit some railsUGLY: A call to TROY INDUSTRIES got me a gentleman who politely advised me, These units are assembled from parts that manufactured on a one-to-one basis, meaning NO PARTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR SALE. Curiously, this is the same line I was given when trying to purchase a new aperture for the DOA- style I wanted to switch some while back. BUMMER! TROY INDUSTRIES gets no more of my business.
Robust Offsets

Folding your sights down is helpful for carry. The zero is easily repeatable no matter how many times you raise and lower the sights. They lock up in place unlike the Magpul PROs which can fall back down if knocked by a barricade. My Seekins MCSR was off spec. on the 1913 rail. I had to vise open the sights mouth front and rear to get a nice 19 inch radius. I put yellow enamel on the top of the front sight and now they are perfect for me. HK front Ghost ring rear combo makes two-eyes open shooting a welcome breeze. John Paul from JP Enterprises uses these on his personal rifle also. Anywho...
A must for anyone running a scope but wants back up sights
by Tyler -
So I have two sets, I have used these sights extensively in 3gun and they are great for in close quick shooting. I prefer the HK style to the standard sights. Primary Arms has the best price on these, I wish I didn't have to pay TX sales tax on them but it's still cheaper than other sites. If you run a low power variable scope these are a must in my book. They're durable and they are easy to use, I prefer them over the XS XTI sights I had.
Troy: The Gold Standard of BUIS
by Robert
First of all, to the gent who wrote the very confusing review about these buis. I've ran more than I can count. These have been the gold standard for man of my brothers in Afghanistan and Iraq, and Africa. They are the Gold Standard. You can get replacement bolts and the sight posts. Anything else makes no sense. Like the review. I too prefer the HK sight. I think our eyes processes the round aperture better/more quickly than the M4 style. Keep in mind there is a reason the M4 front sight has ears that curve out - as to not damage the sight post should the sight take a hard strike. Just something to think about. I use used these buis on quality rails - LaRue Tactical, KAC URX, Centurion Arms, SLR, and Troy and I have never experienced a fitment issue. I have never experienced a finish issue either. The azimuth and elevation adjustments are all positive and "sturdy". My Troy buis have taken some hard knocks, and they have never lost zero.

Run the Troy BUIS on four different ARs and have nothing but good things to say about them. Solid mounting, excellent quality and exact repeatability. About to order a fifth set.
