Glass decent, mount useless

by -

Bought this for my 204Ruger AR. Out of the box the glass was clear and magnification adjustment worked well, the illumination was without any distortion. Upon install of the optic I immediately found that the mount was loose on my receiver. I tried the mount on a 1913 rail I had just installed on a Rem700, same play. After milling a few thou off the mount and the clamp I test fit it to a rail section finding it to be loose still and decided that any further milling done to get that mount to tighten would more than likely cause the optic to be off the center line of the barrel without extensive reworking of the mount. Imo selling the optic with a pre installed mount is not necessary, the price point is decent for an illuminated optic with this magnification but could be priced even better without a mount. The product has room for improvement and I haven’t even shot with it yet. Update to follow after new mount and range trip.
