Mounted directly over the receiver, the patented Dog Leg scope rail with integral dust cover provides optimal balance, generous rail space, and protects delicate optics from barrel heat. The ingeniously simple and rugged design provides a rock-solid mount for accuracy and a forward hinged, quick release cover with rear cam lock design to preserve the AK’s field stripping qualities. The quick release hinge also allows the use of longer scopes without the need for quick detach mounts.

Best and easiest way to mount a rail on an AK. Fit perfect on my MAK 90. Very easy to install. There is a video on YouTube showing how to remove the rear sight with a pair of channel locks that works great. The thing is ROCK SOLID!!!! No movement at all. The build and quality is excellent. And it is still very easy to remove. Definitely would recommend.

Had one of these on my Aki had some years back it might have been the first generation but I like what the Gen 3 offered with the one pin removal and replace very nice feature would highly recommend

This dust cover for exactly what it supposed to! Sturdy and no movement at all. Holds zero just fine!

Easy install and holds zero well. Will have to order the guide wire and retainer clip if you have the telescope guide rod

Does not fit on psak47 gen5 the pin is not long enough that goes through the rear sight post to lock in with the retaining clip properly.
