Same as M1-B but designed for the shorter gas tube of many Hungarian AKs. Replaces gas tube and clamps directly to barrel for maximum stability and accuracy. Solid, one-piece 6061-T6 hard anodized aluminum body. Includes barrel clamps of 4140 steel, screws, Allen wrench and instructions. A rock-solid platform for your premium optics. Will not fit, and cannot be made to fit, Krinkov type weapons. No gunsmithing required. Made in U.S.A. Overall Length; 5.75 inches.
Fits: Hungarian AMD-65s and most Draco pistols with a gas tube approximately 5 7/8" in length. Some minor fitment may be required. Cannot be made to fit Krinkovs.

Good, But Heavy

Good product, fits well. Only complaint is that it is pretty heavy, it adds a good bit of weight to the front of the barrel.

easy way to add red to 85M

easy combo with the PA MicroDot to add red dot optics to 85M. This was easy to install (read the directions) and locks into place. Prompt shipping from PA and the Mico Dot is really nice.

Does not fit on Hungarian AMD 65/63 (the AK pictured) without grinding

Does not fit well. Does not fit on Hungarian AMD 65/63 (the AK pictured) without grinding the inside lips of the steel hand guard. Doable but not an "easy" install.
Works on Draco, but mine needed fitting and breaking in

Got this for my full sized Draco pistol because everything I read said this was the right fit. It was just a few millimeters too short and did not reach the gas block. I chopped up the original gas tube and hammered a small section of it into the end of the Ultimak to make it work. After I finally got it installed the piston and bolt carrier was stuck at first, but after hand cycling it for several minutes it broke in and stopped getting stuck. Shot and cycled perfectly. I would definitely recommend for Draco owners, but know that depending on your model it may require some tinkering and breaking in to get it to work properly.

It simply installs and works on the Cugir Draco or M-10 Pistols... way too easy. Definately easier than trying to use the AMD-65 metal handguard. To be clear, the AMD-65 metal hanguard is the problem not the Ultimak.
