Impressive on my feature rich lightweight build-surprisingly so
by A2 -
The S3 is not cheap junk in either form or function. It is perfectly at home on my lightweight build using all Aero precision/Ballistic Advantage components. I could have used a MFT BMS which is just under 6 ounces. I accepted a very small weight penalty because I actually prefer the design and function over the BMS. The S3 is comfortable and offers excellent cheek weld and is more snag resistant by design. Now, the MFT BMS offers a much tighter and rattle free fit. The S3 fits my POF anti tilt buffer tube fairly tight but has slight play. The S3 fits the same as my B5 SOPMOD Bravo. The S3 fits way better than my MAGPUL MOE stocks which are all gone now. My three go to stocks for my builds are now the S3, MFT BMS, and the B5 SOPMOD Bravo. You can call me crazy but the S3 is not at all out of place in that line-up and is half the cost.
nice

Nice stock, smaller than others.
just Right

fit perfect, and made a great minimal stock for my 9mm build. no rattle or wobble used with a FM buffer. Using a single point sling so have not tried that, or I would go 5 *.
Excellent AR-15 stock

This is an outstanding stock in terms of function, fit, performance and value. It is every bit the equal of a Magpul stock only at half the cost and itβs made in the USA!
Underestimated Quality

I love this stock. I bought this because, as stocks go, this is pretty inexpensive and another site had this on sale for about 50% less, so thought I'd give it a shot- no pun int. Been using the requisite B5 SOPMOD and thought that would be the thing but this S3 stock fits me much better. I'm a small dude and with body armor, I couldn't get a good cheek weld and sight picture, nor could I get the stock to sit correctly. With the S3 it's a non-issue at all and because it's narrower, less bulky and there is a definite angle angle on this thing. This angle really helps it to feel seated in the shoulder pocket, rather than on top of it - I can't say enough about this. For those that care, it's about 2oz lighter and I do wish it had a QR mount on both sides, but when's the last time you actually swapped sides with your sling on the fly?
For me, this is an inexpensive win on many levels and I highly recommend it. YMMV.
