Vortex Defender-CCW Red Dot Sight - 3 MOA
Details
Details
The compact Vortex Defender-CCW is a rugged micro-reflex optic with a 3 MOA reticle perfect for concealed carry and personal protection. The Defender-CCW is compatible with the Shield RMS and RMSc footprint, but includes a 1913 Picatinny base for use with larger firearms. Compared to the Vortex Venom and Viper pistol red dots, the Defender-CCW is smaller, much more durable and features a larger, distortion-free window thanks to its Aspherical lens. This optic also features a ShockShield polymer insert which increases shock absorption and durability, which is important on a concealed carry handgun optic. The front surface of this optic features a Fast-Rack texture, which protects the lens and allows the user to perform one-handed weapon manipulation when needed.
The Defender-CCW red dot features a 10 minute motion-activated shutoff, which drastically improves battery life. Once the optic is powered off, any motion will turn it on again, meaning it is always ready. This red dot features a top-loading battery design, allowing the user to change batteries without re-zeroing. Features 8 daylight bright brightness settings, a true 1x parallax-free viewing window, and unlimited eye relief.

- 3 MOA red dot optic
- Smaller and lighter than the Venom and Viper

Bought a 3moa & 6moa

I mounted one on a Hellcat (direct mount no plate of mods) and the other on a IWI Massada Slim, same thing directly mounted. I have about 300 rounds on each, I like them. Study and well built. No starburst.
Works great

Great value
Fantastic!

I have a couple Vortex Vipers, which are just OK. I was intrigued by this new offering from Vortex, especially the price, and I saw some good video reviews. After picking one up and mounting it on my Canik Mete MC9, I will likely get a couple more. Simple, tactile controls, large window, top-loading battery, and it comes with a whole mess of various mounting screws and a rail mount adapter. You cannot beat this optic and accessories for the money, it’s fantastic! Well done, Vortex!
