Details

The Vortex VMX-3T 3x magnifier offers a downrange view with your red dot sight when you need it and flips to the side with a button push when you’re engaging targets up close. The push button flip mount feature is perfect because it allows for almost instantaneous switching between ranges, which is a real-world situation which the operator can face. Adjusting this magnifier with any AR level red dots is simple and it will work with co-witness or lower 1/3 set-ups. Finally, Vortex VMX-3T Red Dot Magnifier is waterproof, fog proof, fully multi-coated for optimal light transmission, lightweight and has a tough hardcoat anodized machined aluminum construction.

This is a nice magnifier for the price point. The optics are clear and crisp and it’s really nice to be able to flip the magnifier to the side with the included mount. Perfect behind a Strikefire II running .300 subs at 100YDS. My only gripe is it has a pretty small eye relief window BUT I’m just being picky so if you have a consistent cheek weld it really doesn’t matter. Recommended.

Clear Magnifier and a Fair Price

Great little add on to my Vortex Strike Fire Red/Green Dot optic. Brings the versatility of optional magnification to my AR platform. The eye relief is not very good, but it is a clear optic magnifier at a fair price. I also found that while shooting without it, I can use my left eye to view through it as a monocular, and clearly spot where I'm hitting to make adjustments. So, it actually serves a dual purpose. It's a safe buy, specially through Primary Arms.

The view through the magnifier is crisp and clear, but it makes the primary arms red for a little fuzzy. The eye relief seems to be just a little short, because with it mounted in front of a troy buis my nose has to be on the charging handle.

Vortex 3x Magnifier

Great magnifier really makes a difference on those longer Hog shots. The sight and mount are very solid I haven't noticed any looseness in the mount that other people wrote about in the other reviews. The only thing I feel they could do to make it better is to include lens covers.
