Wilson Combat AR-15 M-LOK Handguard has a free-float design and it’s machined from 6005A-T5 aircraft aluminum, which makes it strong but light-weight. It’s slim top rail allows for plenty of mounting capability as well as featuring 3,6,9 o’clock positions on the hand rest for even more room for accessories. Wilson Combat’s M-LOK handguard includes a strong barrel nut that will remain sturdy so that your AR-15 remains stable and accurate.

*Note from the manufacturer: Because of the long overall length we recommend the use of a 16" or longer barrel to clear the front of the rail.

Nice and Lightweight, but...

by -

I bought this for my budget build. Nice and lightweight. The issue was mounting to the barrel nut. The handguard mounting screw holes are on both sides, and you have to time the barrel nut perfectly in order for the screws to be lined up, and for the pic rail to be straight with the receiver. Included 1 tiny shim, but it didn't even do anything. I couldn't leave it not torqued, and ended up having to grind out the slots for the screws on both sides so i could twist the handguard to it's proper place and get the screws in.
