Just a flash hider

I replaced the A2 flash hider on my AR-10 with this "muzzle brake" and experienced no perceptible change in recoil or muzzle rise. I'm sure it produces some compensation due to the closed bottom, but so does an A2. Three stars because it appears to be well made and functions well as a flash hider, but I think Wilson Combat is being a bit disingenuous with the description of this muzzle device as a brake. Long story short, there's no free lunch when it comes to recoil. Effective brakes have blast, and the only company to come close to a truly hybrid brake/comp/flash hider is BCM.
