Winchester Model 70 Featherweight SS .243 Win Bolt Action Rifle - 22" - Matte Stainless - 5 Round

The Winchester Model 70 Featherweight Stainless pairs the classic Featherweight silhouette with a weather-resistant stainless barrel and receiver, giving hunters the model's legendary handling with added protection against the elements. This rifle keeps the pre-'64 controlled-round-feed action that made the Model 70 famous.

Features:

• Stainless steel barrel and receiver with a matte finish for corrosion resistance
• Pre-'64 style controlled round feed with a claw extractor for reliable feeding
• M.O.A. Trigger System with zero take-up, creep, or overtravel
• Grade I walnut stock with a Schnabel forend and classic cut checkering
• Free-floating, target-crowned Featherweight-profile barrel
• Three-position safety and a jeweled, knurled bolt handle

The matte stainless finish stands up to rain, snow, and humid conditions better than a standard blued barrel, making this configuration a practical choice for hunters who spend time in wet climates without wanting to give up the Featherweight's classic walnut stock. The angled-comb Grade I walnut stock and Schnabel forend keep the model's recognizable silhouette intact, while a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad helps manage felt recoil. The forged steel receiver is bedded front and rear to eliminate shifts in zero over time.

Winchester introduced the Model 70 in 1936, and the Featherweight Stainless brings that legendary handling to hunters who need genuine weather resistance without stepping away from a traditional wood stock.
