Another Out of spec aero part
by Frank -
Out of spec not happy with finish or fit at all. I don't know what's going on at aero lately
Never disappointed by Aero
by James
Recommend works like it should I have two of these's kits for about two years with no problems.
Totally Disappointed
by Kevin
I've been a fan of Aero Precision stripped lowers and uppers and decided to get this kit for my new build thinking it since it's Aero it should be good. Not so. The finish on the tube both interior and exterior was really rough. Part of the threads got stripped from the end plate while I was torquing down the castle nut which caused the tube to rotate as I was torquing. I finally managed to assemble it straight but then found out when I put on my magpul stock that it can't fully collapse because the threads are oversized. I don't know if this one was not properly machined but I'll stick with only getting receivers made by Aero.
tighter fit
by Alan
Ill have to agree but disagree with the other reviews. Ive used a dozen other brands tube kits and this one by far is the best fitting. Yes the finish is a more textured but its done well. Its the best fitting tube Ive used as there is literally no extra space and fits quite snug on a stock.
GOOD TO GO!

Everything was as it should be. I was pleased with the fit and finish. Would recommend and buy again.
Like a charm!
by Bill -
Worked great in my Aero Precision 223 Wylde Build. I used a 18 inch Ballistic Advantage Heavy Fluted SPR barrel with a rifle length gas system. I upgraded the buffer to the H2. everything works great!
My go to buffer tube

I have used 4 of these kits so far without disappointment. For a good quality budget rifle they're perfect.
Same Two Part Numbers. Two Different Buffer Tubes. Bad Quality Control.
by Nic -
I ordered two of these buffer kits and upon opening the packages, I found that both buffer tubes were machined differently. One seemed fairly standard with a protruding lip that holds down the spring and detent.

The other had no lip and had awful machining marks on it. After checking the packages, both kits had the same part numbers. I installed both kits today and had to file down part of the poorly machined tube. After a lot of effort, I was able to get both kits installed correctly.

I just don't understand how a company like Aero Precision can have such horrible quality control.

From PA: We're sorry that you had this issue. We'd have been happy to swap out the bad one for you.
Missing castle nut
by Sean -
Missing Castle nut and came with 2 end plates. QC not doing so well on my order.
