The 16” barrel is machined from Chrome Moly Vanadium steel with a salt bath Nitride finish and a 1:7 twist rate for stabilizing heavier rounds. It is threaded 1/2x28 with an A2 style flash hider, a lightweight and effective option. High pressure tested and magnetic particle inspected ensure this barrel is accurate and reliable. I expected better...

I'm not very satisfied with this upper. The upper worked for a couple of range sessions shooting brass and steel case but then stopped feeding any ammo. It became a rather expensive single-shot rifle. The brass rounds were getting trapped under the (Aero) BCG and were bent at a crazy angle. Switched BCG's and used a different lower, but still no love. Gunsmith worked on it and said he thought it was short stroking. He re-seated the gas block so now it feeds brass but will not feed any steel case ammo. Will be contacting Aero, but currently not satisfied and do not recommend...
