The Anderson Manufacturing Defender Series DS-16R 5.56 NATO Rifle is a high-quality, AR-15 style rifle that is perfect for a variety of applications. This rifle is chambered in 5.56 NATO and features a 16” government profile barrel with a 1:7 twist. The barrel is also threaded 1/2x28, making it compatible with a wide range of muzzle devices.

The DS-16R has a mid-length gas system, which provides a smooth and reliable operation. The gas block is low profile and made of steel, and it is protected by a free float quad rail. The handguard is made of aluminum and is 12” long, giving you plenty of space to mount accessories.

The receivers are made of forged 7075-T6 aluminum and are finished with a Type III hardcoat anodized finish. This provides a durable and corrosion-resistant surface. The Magpul MOE buttstock is adjustable for length of pull with the six position carbine buffer tube.

Additionally, it has an M16 profile bolt carrier, Breek Warhammer ambidextrous charging handle, and a Mapgul K2 pistol grip for a comfortable and secure grip. Included is a PMAG 30 Gen 2 magazine for reliable feeding.
