If you are looking to build a high-quality precision AR-15, the Ballistic Advantage 16” .223 Wylde barrel might just be the one for you. It is constructed from 416R stainless steel, which is highly regarded as the best steel for accuracy and features a bead blasted finish for corrosion resistance. The premium series of barrels feature a nickel boron coated extended M4 feed ramp extension for reliable feeding. The tactical government profile is designed for a balance between light weight and durability with its tapered thickness. The muzzle is threaded 1/2x28, so you can attach muzzle brakes, flash hiders, or suppressors to the end of the barrel. The gas block diameter is .750” and is longer to accommodate the OPS Inc 12th model collar and suppressor for optimum fit and function. It also has a mid-length gas system that strikes the perfect balance between reliability and reduced recoil.

For the price, this is extremely hard to beat. Bore sighted barrel to scope and within 3 shots I was zeroed at 100 yards. Sub MOA easy with good match ammo. Consistently hit steel at 600 yards with match and 55 grain FMJ. What a solid barrel, highly impressed and would recommend for others to buy.

Super tight groups at the first range visit!

I am not an expert marksman or champion shooter. I just like to shoot at the range. But recently my gunsmith friend put together an upper with this barrel. It shot very tight groups right out of the box with cheap 55 grain 5.56 ammo. I can only imagine how good this would do for a shooter far more capable than I am with match grade ammo.

Match grade barrel for regular shooters

I consider myself a sport shooter that enjoys the occasional day at the range. This is the first high end barrel I've put in any of my AR's. Started shooting great groups on the first trip to the range with normal 55 grain ammo. With normal 62 grain ammo my groups were even tighter. I don't plan on ever competing but for the price I'm very happy with the performance.
