The CAT Old Dirty Bastard (ODB) is a suppressor designed for 7.62x39mm and 5.56mm platforms where shooters need consistent suppression, reduced backpressure, and reliable function across subsonic and supersonic ammunition.

The ODB Inconel 718 variant is built for shooters who run hard. Inconel 718's operating temperature ceiling of approximately 1800°F makes it the duty-focused choice for tactical applications, full-auto fire, and high rates of fire where titanium variants would exceed their thermal limits. CAT's patented Surge Bypass pressure system — manufactured via Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) for precise internal gas flow geometry — manages gas efficiently to reduce sound, minimize backpressure, and keep pressure wave signature low for shooter comfort. The ODB is specifically optimized for the 16" AK-47 pressure profile across a velocity range of 1,100 to 2,600 ft/s, making it an ideal match for 7.62x39mm carbines, 5.56mm platforms, and .300 Blackout AR-15 setups. At just 6.85" OAL and 1.60" in diameter with an 18.2oz weight (HUB variant), the ODB adds minimal length without sacrificing suppression performance.

Compatible with 7.62x39mm as primary caliber (max 7.62x51mm NATO). Minimum barrel length for 7.62 NATO is 12". The 1.375x24 HUB includes a 5/8×24 direct-thread adapter and accepts any standard HUB-compatible muzzle device. Full-auto rated Inconel variant. Optimized velocity range 1,100–2,600 ft/s.

Constructed entirely from Inconel 718 with a DLC finish, the ODB HUB features a dedicated waffle-style erosion interface at the blast chamber end — a sacrificial barrier engineered to protect the suppressor core from unburnt particulate erosion over time.
