This CMMG medium tapered barrel subassembly is made from 416 stainless steel and comes with CMMG's unique and durable Salt Bath Nitride Finish. The nitride finish process from CMMG also retains all the properties of a traditional chromed-lined barrel without suffering accuracy loss seen by uneven chrome application inside the barrel bore. All barrel sub-assemblies from CMMG, including this 16-inch barrel, are properly headspaced. The CMMG barrel chambered for Hornaday's powerful 6mm ARC ammunition features a 1:7.50 twist rate rifling. The barrel subassembly also comes with a properly installed M4 barrel extension and supports either suppressed or unsuppressed firing, making it an extremely versatile powerhouse addition to your AR15 build. Although the gas block and tube are not included, the barrel subassembly from CMMG supports a rifle-length gas port location and a standard exterior diameter gas journal of 0.0750 inches.
