You Need This In Your Life

by

13.9” pnned and welded uppers aren’t exactly flooding the market these days. When I saw this one on Black Friday ‘22 at a really, really good price I was highly interested, BUT the when I saw it had a Dead Air Keymo mount flash hider, it was a done deal. I would have been happy if this was OK quality for the price and the muzzle device . But premium quality is an understatement of how nice this upper is. The hand guard is tagged Expo Arms and a smaller Midwest Industries logo. That explains the smooth feel and great lockup. The receiver is as nice as anything I’ve seen. The inside is finished as good the outside. No tooling marks, just buttery smooth waiting for the Sharp’s RC Enhanced BCG. IDK how Primary Arms did it, but I would put this up against any upper, from any company at any price. Yep, it’s that good. I just wish I had bought more than one!

Excellent quality upper/will update around 2k rounds

by

This upper still has yet to be ran rough, I have only had it for approximately 2 weeks. The upper has approximately 400 rounds through it but I have nothing but great things to say about it. Accurate, clean weld, solid hand guard, quality receiver. I will update the review after a few thousand rounds.

Great Value!!!

Picked this up as a budget shorter non NFA upper, and was honestly blown away how nice it is for the money. Forward controls branded muzzle device, rail seems solid enough, rumor is barrel is Rosco, receiver is allegedly ZEV. You couldn’t build this nice of an upper for the money. Would highly recommend. Got in on a bench and was able to string together several 1.5 and 2MOA groups at 100 yards. I’ll take it for 300 bucks!

Won't run steel

by -

I wanted to give this a try. Compares the gas port size to another well known/respected company. Their tables said to run it with a Sprinco blue and an H buffer. Tried that. Won't cycle brass. Dropped it to standard buffer and spring. Will run brass. But after less than 100 rounds of running drills with steel cased, it becomes a single shot. Bore bathed the chamber and everything. Using ammo I have used in multiple classes without issue on different upper builds. I really wanted this to work but unfortunately if it can't handle running steel, I just can't recommend it.

The barrel is government profile, not SOCOM like the details says, which is good. The barrel had a dimple under the gas port, but the screws did not have loctite yet. Barrel nuts did have it. It is a well put together upper, and I did verify that is is over 16" P&W. It just was not up to my uses/standards.

Thank you for taking the time to speak with us today. We are glad we were able to get this resolved for you. Thank you for pointing out the barrel contour, we are getting that corrected now. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Awesome Deal

Just got this upper in. From my initial inspection, it looks to be well assembled. The gas block, gas tube, rail, and muzzle device are all straight. The pin and weld on the muzzle device is pristine. The rail looks to be a white label armory rail, which is also used by Sionics and Modern Armory. It seems very solid and the antirotation tabs add some additional security. The barrel looks to be a rosco product based on the markings. The upper is not a ZEV upper, but seems to be of good quality and is reasonably tight on my lower. The gas block doesn't appear to be dimpled. Hopefully it was well secured initially with loctite. I plan on leaving it alone unless it works its way lose at the range.

Big picture - the is a well assembled upper with a rosco barrel, white label armory rail, and pinned and welded forward controls design keymo 6315L for Dead Air Keymo Supressor compatibility- what an absolute screaming deal.

Fantastic value

Wow - find me an upper at this price range as good as this one is, go ahead I'll wait.
Pair this with the Expo Arms BCG and a charging handle of your choice and WOW this is a fantastic budget-friendly yet incredibly well made upper for your money. Very pleased with it so far.

Wow!!

This was my first 13.9 pin and weld. I really wasn’t sure what to expect. As others have stated this is a very well put together upper. I also purchased an Expo arms chrome BCG to go along with it and it is equally nice. I have roughly 75 rounds of PMC Bronze 55g through it with one failure to eject. Which was in the first 5 rounds and PMC is known to be under powered. After that there were no issues. At 50 yards I was able to able to zero with a red dot magnifier combo that produced groups under an inch. Next range trip I will stretch to 100 with some full power 193 and see what she can do. If I had one gripe, it’s that the gas block is not pinned. Beyond that I am very happy with this upper. Thanks PA.

Solid Upper

Zev upper, BA barrel, CMT rail, Forward Keymo FH. Can’t beat the price or quality. Mid length gas with an H2 runs smooth as butter. 3k rounds of mostly whatever is cheap without issue. Averaging 1.5 or less moa with 55gr/62gr shelf ammo. Easy buy.
