Foxtrot Mike Products Complete FM9 Premium 9mm AR-15 Lower Receiver

Very well built and awesome quality so far.
I did wait almost 6 weeks for it due to back order but it was worth the wait. The pistol grip is not Magpul but it’s just as good as any basic grip.
I really don’t have anything negative to say about this lower yet.
I had been waiting to buy a Palmetto State version of a 9mm AR but they are always out of stock and they have doubled their prices. PSA Price gouging galore.
I shot 400+ rounds through this lower using an old FM upper I borrowed from a friend. No stoppages, no problems. I used every Glock mag in my possession, Gen 2 and 3. I used 17 and 32 rounds capacity mags.
This FM version comes with a last round bolt hold open. The PSA version does not and is ridiculous overpriced.
I am glad that there is finally competition for PSA.

Another plus about Primary Arms was the awesome customer service.
Mrs Tatyana Boxie was very patient and very helpful.
I cannot say the same about my prior experience with Palmetto State.

The last round bolt hold open has been reliable so far with no complaints besides the amount of wiggle in the magazine well, nothing terrible. I would definitely recommend Foxtrot Mike to my peoples.

I have built 2 of these. They work flawlessly. buffer weight and spring choice work perfect and lock back works every time. I have used glock, ETS and Magpul mags with no problems. This lower is a great starting point for your build. I emailed Foxtrot with a question and they answered in 3 hours on a weekend. They were very helpful.

I bought one of FM's uppers a couple years ago, and a brand
X lower. I had some problems getting the gun to run, short story is FM supplied me a new buffer and trigger to fix the problem, and it was not ever their lower! I was a loyal customer from then on. Awesome customer service!

I have 2 of those lowers since mid 2019. both work well with glock 9mm mags. I tried running them with a 40 S&W upper and Glock factory 40 S&W mags. The FM9 lower's magazine well was designed for Glock 9mm mags so the 40 mag is a tight fit (and does not fall free when ejected). However, the benefit is that the LRHO function always work with the tight fitting 40 S&W mags. whereas the 9mm mag doesn't lock the bolt back once a while due to the slack of the mag (not a fault of the design IMHO). I only got couple hundreds of rounds thru them but so far so good. FM also has great customer support when I was building the 40 S&W. The Korean mags wont even fit into the FM9s.

Great lower, paired with their 7” upper and sb tactical sbpdw brace. Runs flawless, only issue I’ve had was with last round bolt hold open. Couple emails to Foxtrot and all is well. Wesley at Foxtrot went above and beyond even emailing me on a Sunday morning. As is the norm, Primary was great to deal with and supper fast shipping.

Went out looking for the best PCC lower and upper I could find for the money and I think I found it in FM products. Lower is excellent quality, love the oversized mag release, flared mag well, ambi saftey and LRBH. Getting a great product for a reasonable price, especially considering it's a PCC with a LRBH. Only drawback is the mil spec trigger, but I wasn't expecting anything premium on a complete lower. I'll probably swap it out in the future. Be sure to use quality mags or at least break in the cheap ones. Had some new KCL mags (FM doesn't advise using, but I'm cheap) that needed a few cycles to work flawlessly. Highly recommend overall

I mated the FM9 Premium 9mm Lower Receiver with a FM9 16 inch upper. Shot 600 rounds through it the first day, only malfunction was one light primer strike after about 550 rounds. I did not like the trigger, to much creep. Changed out the trigger with one from another gun, wiped off the carrier and oiled it lightly. took the gun to the range the next day and shoot another 350 rounds with no malfunctions. Love the side charging. Worked well with Glock factory and ETS mags. LRBHO worked every time. I seen some complaints because on FM9 uppers does not come with the folding charging handle, a folding charge handle kit can be ordered from FM (Foxtrot Mike) $25.00. I would highly recommend this gun to a friend.

Mated FMP 10.5” upper with a FMP premium lower. I found the side charging very efficient and effective while running drills at the range. Side charger and LRBHO offer excellent shooting experience with these features thoughtfully designed and executed in this firearm.

I do have one criticism, the charging handle is not the folding shown is many product photo examples, but rather a shorter static handle the can lead to raking your finger against the side of pic rail if not cautious. I did deduct a star this reason. I will also note, FMP recommends avoiding Korean mags, and I did experience frequent FTF while using SGM mags, but absolutely no failures using Glock or Magpul mags.
Of my AR-9mm PCC firearms, I most enjoy this pistol as it shoots extremely accurately and softly. I only shoot brass case 115 and 124 grain ammo, and experienced no failure nor issues when I adhere to FMP guidelines. Easily ring 6” steel at 75 yards using 2 MoA red dot while shouldered.

Mated FMP Premium lower & FMP 10.5" upper and love the results with LRBHO. Ringing 6" steel at 75 yards easily with Mid-Ten 2 MoA red dot as a novice shooter. My home range will not allow longer shots shooting both 115 and 124 grn FMJ. I only shoot brass case FMJ, so I cannot speak for any other ammo flavor.

One forewarning, using the included charging handle (not the folding handle that is shown in many example photos) may lead to skin loss while rubbing against the side of the Pic rail if not careful.

Love the side charing and LRBHO, just wish the folding charging handle was included with upper. Cost this review one star.

Now considering a 16" FMP upper, even with 9mm and marginal/minimal ballistic gain. Love this gun for plinking and home defense!!
