Budget handguard
by Steve -
Good quality hardware. Looks and fits great! Takes 1 3/16" wrench.
Not bad
by George
Not bad for a budget handguard. The finish is nice. I Installed this over a 8.5” barrel. My only complaint is that it didn’t come with shims. I had to shim the barrel nut to get timing right
Junk

I wondered why the barrel nut was packaged outside the handguard, it’s because it doesn’t fit inside it even with a hammer.
Overall good for a budget build

This is a decent handguard for the price. I did have to lightly file the inside edges that slide over the barrel nut due to heavy finish on both parts that would not mate together(not visible after installed). shims are required for timing and proper torque spec of the barrel nut.
Great for the price.

It is super light and solid. Be sure to have some barrel shims on hand to get timing correct. Also, it did not want to slide on to the barrel nut so I needed to do some buffing with the dremel to smooth things out so it would slide on. I still give it 5 stars because when installed it's good and the price is great. Just be ready to spend a little extra time with the install.
Decent for the money...

For a low-cost freefloat handguard bargain build, these perform nicely.
I highly recommend using RED lock-tite thread locker on the 8 button head hex screws holding it to the barrel nut. Blue locktite when getting it hot during rapid fire, and the screws could back out. No problems with red locktite.
Great for the price!

Solid light weight rail
by Andrew -
This rail mounts on a steel barrel nut that must be timed but it is very solid. The barrel nut has flats cut on it that line up with the screws on the rail. The rail fits very tight on the barrel nut; I used some grease to help get it on and off for test fitting. I had to take it off a few times to get it perfectly lined up with the upper. Once I had the barrel nut timed like I wanted, I cleaned it up and used a little retaining compound to bed the rail to the nut. I wish it came with higher quality screws but, it is a very sturdy mounting solution and the rail isn't going anywhere.
Out of Spec

I purchased this HG for 8.5" for this fun build. I got my muzzle device in and it was bottoming out. Checked with multiple measuring tools and all read 8.75" on the nose. Because of the .25" in accuracy I'm having to buy a new handguard. Was not expecting this from Foxtrot Mike, especially being .25" out of spec. Great fit and finish just not to proper spec.
