Interesting new device

The Geissele Reaction Rod is built like a tank. So far all I've done with it is remove a muzzle device and barrel nut but it worked fine for that. However, if the device is not held vertically in the vice it will slip in the direction of the torque. Also the barrel will obviously slip off if the rod is angled downward.

PRIMARY Arms had the best price and I received my Geissele rod quickly. With the increase in the number of manufactures making billet lowers it gets expensive buying different mounts for each one. The G rod works on all of them without worrying about scratching the finish or putting undue stress on, what can at times, be a very expensive lower. If you had a "unicorn" lower would you trust it to a cheap delron and pin mount?

Perfect tool for quality work. Tried using barrel vise jaws to install muzzle brake but upper receiver wanted to keep on rotating when carefully torquing brake. Ordered this tool and completed work in less than 5 minutes. Customer service was also excellent which I used to inquire about order. Top notch service unmatched by competitors as far as I am concerned.

It's a solid piece of bar stock cut to engage the locking lugs of the barrel extention on an ar15. Works as advertised to take stress off of the aluminum frame and places it on the infinitely more solid barrel. When tightening barrel nuts and brakes.

Won't fit

It won't fit into the barrel extension even after a scary amount of effort. I was afraid I'd ruin my barrel extension. I was very disappointed.
