Geissele greatness.

by -

I have yet to find a subpar Geissele product. This is no exception. They’re not cheap but you’ll know exactly what you’re getting.

Nice handguard

by -

Overall very nice quality, light weight, and good features. Having the built in QD attachment points is a great feature.

My only note would be that the rail feels very similar to a picatinny fore end with the protruding rail sections. Neither a good thing or a bad thing, just something to note depending on your grip.

MK 4 Rail

My favorite brand of rail I have them on 3 of my AR's

Awesome as expected from Geissele.

Rail is solid. No complaints. Over all finish was perfect. Would buy again.

Heavy, predictably solid rail

The first geissele rails I ever got impressed me so much and changed over to this for another rifle. It’s def not the lightest but it’s so solid and love the fit. Perfect every time.

Geissele MK4 rail 13.5

by -

The rail is excellent quality as expected from Geissele. Perfect length for a 14.5 barrel. I have a few “G” rails and wanted this one for the pic rail sections at the muzzle end.
No need to add rail sections for pic rail type light mounts.
As with all other Geissele rails I highly recommend them! Just catch them on sale the MSRP is ridiculous IMO.

Outstanding!

Very nice rail! The quality is top notch and the installation was a snap. Looks right at home on my carbine build. Don't forget to buy the wrench!

Beautiful handguard

by

I bought this partially due to others stating that the gas block and barrel nut wrench were included. They are NOT included. You get a barrel nut and the handguard.

Same Price But No More Super Gas Block?

by

Great quality handguard perfect for your high-end build. Seems that Geissele isn't including a Super Gas Block included with their rails anymore, though they aren't charging less. That was a nice add-on that used to made the premium price easier to swallow. Not the value it once was/wp-en.

The Geissele of Handguards

by

I've been through a lot of high quality rails (KAC, Troy, etc.) but none have had anywhere close to the strength and stiffness that the Geissele MK4 has.

It's all about the longer barrel nut in combination with precise tolerances that I've NEVER seen in any other rail system. The included barrel nut tool worked like a champ. I dimpled my barrel and used some blue Loctite but did not use the bomb proof cross pin. I'll run this through some classes and range sessions to determine if the cross pin is needed. Seems like overkill but its cool that they included it (and very exact instructions).

The rail system includes a $60 gas block and good quality barrel nut tool. Well written and precise instructions/schematics are icing on the cake and well appreciated.

I've been running a SSA-E trigger for a while and put the quality and function of the Geissele SMR right up there with their trigger. I'm looking forward to more Geissele products.
