The slide on this Glock 17 Gen5 has front serrations, which provide positive grip and control in harsh weather conditions. These front serrations also come in handy when you need to perform a quick chamber check, and when done correctly, the hand gets nowhere near the muzzle. Although the grip has no finger grooves on this particular model, Glock gives the shooter options by including interchangeable back straps.
