Hexmag 10/30 223 Rem 10 Round AR-15 Magazine - Series 2

The Series 2 magazine is a stark improvement over the Series 1 with redesign of magazine body only.First and foremost are the feed lip cut outs at the top of the mag a shallower sloped cut from feed lip to the front edge of magazine gives a visual effect of the follower appearing to sit lower in the mag body and with that cut keeping more parallel to the sides of the magazine's body unlike the tapered cut on the Series 1 magazine. All this made for an improved reliable feeding of rounds in my AR at the range. Secondly the mag catch cutout is little bit deeper with a small raised ramp for the catch just above the cutout and with the removal of roll mark logo totally makes for much smoother insertion and release of this magazine. Lastly the hexagon patterns have a deeper cut to them making for a better grip and grip tape application. Also the addition of the stripper clip loader grooves are a big plus essential in my case since I have a lot of stored ammo on stripper clips.This is an example of somebody at Hexmag putting on their "thinking cap" and improving an already proven magazine into a better one. This is now my #1 magazine over that other Colorado based magazine company. Thank You. JD590
